Back in February the FCC voted on a new plan to open up the traditional cable box to competition. 'Marvel's The Punisher' spin-off ordered by Netflix, Jon Bernthal to star

It’s official: The Punisher is getting his own TV series. EW has learned that Marvel has ordered a spin-off starring vigilante character introduced in Daredevil season 2. Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as vengeful military veteran Frank Castle, who brings his own lethal form of justice to Hell’s Kitchen. Writer and executive producer Steve Lightfoot (Hanniba, Casualty) will serve as showrunner.

Comcast's NBCUniversal buys DreamWorks Animation in $3.8-billion deal

NBCUniversal on Thursday said it has reached an agreement to acquire DreamWorks Animation in a deal valued at $3.8 billion. Under terms of the agreement, NBCUniversal's parent company, Comcast Corp., pledged to pay DreamWorks Animation shareholders $41 in cash for each share of their DreamWorks stock. The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to an antitrust review by government regulators.

The label attached to the box said "Do not open until war is over". It was the early 1980s and John Rathe, the librarian in the NYPL's Rare Book room, had no idea what he was about to uncover when he opened the dusty box he had found in a remote corner of the library.
